Brow Lift

In women, the eyebrow typically sits slightly above the orbital rim (bone above the eye). In men, the eyebrow typically sits at the rim. Age-related changes to the eyebrows and soft tissue of the forehead often cause the eyebrows to descend. Dr. Hamill uses a variety of techniques to raise the brow—from a direct incision at the hairline to endoscopic techniques from incisions behind the hairline. The approach to each brow lift varies by patient and is customized to her or his facial features. The goal of surgery is restoration of a youthful brow appearance without drawing attention to the fact that surgery was performed. This procedure is often performed in conjunction with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
