Ptosis (Droopy Eyelid) Surgery

Ptosis refers to a drooping upper eyelid. Patients with this condition may complain of appearing sleepy or tired. Dr. Hamill usually corrects ptosis with a small incision hidden on the inside of the upper eyelid. Some patients may require an incision on the outside of the eyelid—this incision is hidden within the natural eyelid crease. By lifting the eyelid, patients often say they look more awake and alert.
